I do NOT support the immediate villainization of all creators who have ever used patreon (many of whom have always followed the previous TOU) and calls for reporting them for not changing their entire blog overnight. In general, I support the idea of what EA is trying to do to restore the community of the sims. This is not punishment to the community/EA OR protest to the TOU, it is simply what is necessary to be able to provide for myself. I personally will not be able to spend as much time on this as I would if it were supplementing my income.
It is not a punishment to EA, but simply a fact of what is necessary to make a living.
Regardless of whether you think it was appropriate to use CC creating as a job, many people did, and it is reasonable that they will now need to use those hours they spent making cc on other endeavors to support themselves. I just hope all of you are compassionate and understanding that many creators like me have always been following the rules and be patient as we transition away from early access.Īlso, be understanding to those cc creators who will no longer be able to create in the community. It of course comes a little hard that all of us who have played by the rules are now being targeted as well. I did of course use this to supplement my income but this is not my main job, just how I used to pay groceries. Exclusive content has always been banned and continued disregard for the rules and the community is what led to this rule change which affects all creators. This TOU change only affects creators that were following the rules (2-3 week early access). This has been against EA’s TOU for years. I am at least a little confused why those who do patreon exclusive content are only just now reacting. So, I will continue to follow the TOU, but also understand that this was announced in the middle of my patreon cycle, and therefore I still have 1 more item obligated for early access (2 weeks) :)
I will follow through with my commitment and what everyone paid for, which is only one more item, then I will look and see what the options are when I am home from vacation and back to my computer! I have always followed the EA TOU of releasing content after 2-3 weeks free and have NEVER supported patreon exclusive content, which has been repeatedly be made very obvious on my page. After that I have a scheduled break for a month due to school/vacation, so there will be no cc at all (this was planned and announced on my patreon before the TOU was changed) I just wanted to be sure that no one thinks I am ignoring the changes it is just that i can’t refund as my account has already paid out, and need to follow through with what i offered in my tier (or being against Patreon’s TOS). I will say that I have 1 more item that will be early access on patreon because it has already been paid for by the patrons, and it would be very unfair to not follow through with what they thought they were buying. Short hair korean style boy.Hiii i am on vacation right now so it is a bit hard for me to address the new EA policy updates.
